I don’t listen to The Black Keys because they’re cool. The Black Keys are cool because I listen to them.
Ha. That there was a Mean Girls reference, mixed with a hipster joke. So great.
I first discovered The Black Keys… by not really knowing I discovered them. The song “Next Girl” popped up on my Pandora. And without knowing who the song was by, I fell in love. This is actually how I find most of my favorite music. It was simply a stroke of good fortune that they are headlining at Coachella, and I cannot wait to see them live. Right now I can’t get enough of “Howlin’ For You,” which you should promptly go look up on Spotify, because though this video is all kinds of sick, you don’t get to hear the song in full.
These guys are great. I love their sound because they are INDEED LIKE the Black Keys of a piano… Get it ? OFF NOTES. They are just ” not right ”, they are in ” between ” the WHITE KEYs.
